Karen qualified in 1989 at North Tyneside School of Nursing and has worked in a range of services. She worked with the elderly when first qualifying and then in General medicine including cardiology. She has also worked in the Community as a community nurse for a GP practice.
Karen says that her nursing experience has allowed her to develop and work within a multi-disciplinary team and she feels she can monitor physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of those in her care.
Karen has worked in the private sector since 2011 and she has developed into an enthusiastic and committed manager aiming to achieve high standards of care to those she cares for and also in managing her staff whilst promoting her staff team.
